George Brecht's "Three Lamp Events"

In 1961, Brecht wrote an event score for turning on and off lamps:

"Unmake" the work: use a performance of Brecht's score to print the instructions to his score to the screen. Easiest to do if one uses a red lamp, a green lamp, and a blue lamp, and photograph according to Light Pattern rules. The longer exposures will make the lamps appear brighter.

In this video, successive frames have been blended to create the illusion of more than one lamp on at a time.
